How much extra work would it be to swap in a 350X engine into a 300EX frame? Also, would it be better and more reliable than a 330 kit or 350 kit?

True, a 300ex motor modded to a high performance 350 will probably be faster than a stock 350X engine. However, that 350X engine has more potential, and could be bored/stroked to a 430, which would be MUCH faster than a gthunder 350.

if i'm not mistaken, there are some major differences between the two motors that have a significant effect on which is more reliable when heavily modded. the 350x may have more potential b/c its bigger to start with, but a few things hold it back from being the better motor, not sure what it is, its been a whille since i heard it (maybe its missing something or dosent get oil some where? somebody help me on this)

I know some like the 6 gears the 350x has. 350x has a stock oil cooler!

But the 350x cam does not have bearings like the 300ex does.
The 350x pipe on the 300ex is a pain and very costly. Not sure, but I have heard the 300 ex bottom end is slightly stronger than the 350x, but not positive about that one. Your 300ex starter would turn a stroked 12:1 compression easier than your leg would kick it over in the 350x!
