atv man in ur info it says ur racing cams 30 over and makes it a 330 i think u got somethin messed up there bc a cam has nothing to do with how big the displacement is on the motor???:huh :huh

Yeah 400ex21 is Right. A Cam does not effect the Displacement of a Motor.

I dont know what a cam does either.The guy i bought the quad off of said it was 30 over so i just geused thats what it meant.

If it is Bored 30 over there is a Bigger Piston in it.

Well the only thing that he told me that it had in it was a cam and valva springs.I know one thing though..It is one bad@$$ cam though.I can beat my friends 400ex with a 416 kit ,fmf slip on ,and a rev limiter.And his is jeted right so i know whatever kind of cam that guy put in there it must be pretty awesome.

You must have a full out ported 330 kit then for you to beat a 416ex.

If the Guy said it was a 330 then it has to have a Bigger Piston. I don`t think you can Beat a 416EX though. If you can, it has more done to the Motor then what the Guy said.

I wanna see this 300ex in person,,I can't see any bored 300ex beating a 416,,but the guy on the 416 might have made his motor a 416 by adding an outerwear to it or something..:huh :confused:

My buddy has a 300ex that keeps up with my stock 400ex but he is also spraying a little nitrous.
also chad and warrior man, it will be a couple of weeks before i call TC for that pipe, not until i get my taxes back, but i will tell him u sent me!

Rico is right too. Maybe he is just telling you it`s a 416. I`m sure there is some people that would do that. A Stock 300ex should not keep up with a Stock 400ex. Now, if the 300ex is all Modded out and the 400ex is Stock I could see the 300 keeping up.

Well my 300 with the cam and springs in it beat my friends 416 and he is a wayyyyyy better rider than i am.

I was practicing on a mx track this weekend,,very few quads more dirtbikes than anything. a few blasters,,no comp there..but 2 400ex's,,fairly stock,,well they were waiting for me as a came around the track and jumped on to see if they could keep up. Ha haa,,not.. after a few laps I went to the truck and they rode over to chit chat,,and the first words out of their mouth was,,do you have engine work...and I politely replied,,,,,NOPE.:D,,all though you could still smell the 110 octane in the air coming from my exhuast,,,, Makes me look like a better rider...:devil

haha funny rico mayb i should take them off but as soon as my quad fires up it sounds basically stock when its idleing but soon as i start gettin on the gas look out it sounds like a piped 400 kinda just a tiny bit quiter... o well mayb its good to have a sleeper then when i got out they won't know what hit them... i got a race with a banshee comin up soon hes got turner pipes, wiseco pistons, and boost bottle so we will see how i can hold up with 20s and 16t front... i hope i don't do bad bc i been hearin alot of crap latly bc i spend so much money on it and its probably gonna loose to this slighty mod banshee... i hate people who don't know crap about quads and act like a 2-stroke 350 isn't bigger then a 406... o well i know i can kill the kid on the trails so i don't even have to worry about there

I agree with Rico and Chad. Don`t let the Guys know you have Motor Work. Then like Rico did, you can tell then it`s Stock. The Guys would think you are really Good. I have heard of Guys having 465`s and keeping the Stock Pipe. That would be Weird if some 400ex that had a Stock Pipe was Blowing everything away. That Guy would be Laughing the whole Time.

400ex21, I will tell you now,,If your going to drag race that Banshee you better get that 16t off. 16t is geared too high. my 416 was very stout and the 16t was still too high. the stock gearing is best for drag racing!!! Start in 2nd and drop the clutch wide open!!

i have the 16t and i still can start a holeshot it in 2nd... mayb bc i am so light but i am in a wheelie the whole way to 3rd... i am gonna go race him in about 20 mins so we will see what happenes!!!

Your in a wheelie because you tires arent spinnig fast enough. If you put the 15 back on it will get the wheels spinning faster and the wheels will spin instaed of bringing the front end up and it will launch you. i m tellin you,,I am an expert at drag racing. Thats all I do really. The 16t is too high for drag racing!!! That Banshee is going to beat you!! Unless he is a really bad rider

sorry 21, but depending on the compression inside that banshee engine, i think it will win..but you never know,, his will spin like a madman

well we raced... i ran with my 16t on and my 20 holeshots... it ended up he beat me by 4 bikes lengths i killed him outta the holeshot i was easly 3 bikes ahead soon as i grabbed 4th he was gone!!! he said he thinks the pistons are stock compression bc hes running 87 octane in the motor and its running fine... i def got my *** handed to me by that banshee but i think once i get a pipe on it i will be dead even...

i will talk to him tomorrow and see if i can run with a 15t once to see if theres a differnce...

I would do whatever Chad says when it comes to Drag Racing. He knows his Stuff. I don`t think it matters which is Faster in a straight line. You two should go Race in the Woods and on a MX Track. Then we will see who Wins.

That banshee will beat you even with a 15t and a pipe. A stock Banshee will spank a piped and jetted 400EX. He has modded his Banshee so you really dont have a chance. Even if you had a complete race 416 it would still barely be close!! I have raced many many banshees. i always get the holeshot on the fast ones and they get me the same way,,, 4th gear. I cant wait to see what this 505 will do to a Banshee!!! But you will come out of the whole much faster with the 15t on there!!

A Full Out 416 includes a lot of Stuff. I think it would be a lot Closer to that Banshee. I`m not Sure. Just Build a 505.

400ex21, you should go ahead and get you a 416 or 440. A 406 isnt very much and if your going to get deeper into the motor it will respond better to valves and stuff with a bigger bore!! The 416 wasnt enough for me. i just hope the 505 is because the buck stops there!!

Chad Nos might be alittle to much. And i think a 505 will be to much. You might want to consider getting the 465 and an alky carb.

He has Talked to TC many times about the 505 and is going to do it. I really don`t think NOS will be Needed.

Ive been thinking about getting me another bike. When Honda comes out with the bigger bike i will put this 400 on alky and NOS. my wife wants me to get a street bike so we might go look at one this week. im thinking about getting rid of my big ole Dodge and getting one of those new Dodges!! im going to go look at those when i get off work!

Its not really that easy for me. I have a lot of bills. My business has slowed down dramatically. Its the good season for my business and it has slowed down. It makes no sense and it is scareing me!
