well i feel like an idiot asking this but i rather be save then sorry......is this the right oil to put in the trans of a trx450r beacuse the manual says hp trans oil but doesnt say the weight and this is 80w/85w so is this the right stuff? thanks for your help

im with ya man, the manual does not specify the weight of 80/85w it says use 20W/50, so that gives me two assumptions, you CAN use the same oil that is in your engine for your tranny.............................and you can use this, as the manual gives that name but not the weight.

However, that IS the exact bottle I bought and my Dealer said it was the best as well, so I would use it. I did.....

wut's weird is on that bottle it says for all CR models and all honda trx250rs.....:confused: o well i'll still use it.

I wasi using th egold bottle stuff at first but i just switched to the one your showing. It is supposed to be the best tranny fluid for quads and dirtbikes. My freinds with their drag banshee's use it also.

thats the stuff im using now too & its great...how often should I change it out though?
