When I went shopping back in September the lowest I could find was 7100. I'd double check and 6700 aint bad.

For those who own the YFZ and the 450R, which is gonna be faster in straight line performance? I will never race this quad at all. I just want to have the fastest quad possible. I have ridden the 450R and wasnt to impressed. The power is way to smooth. I have heard the YFZ's were more explosive. Bottom line is this...With full exhaust, filter, proper jetting which will be faster? Any help would be great.

I own both and the YFZ is a little faster, the power delivery is definitely different, but in a straight line suspension and handling isn't as big of a deal, so either one will do the trick.

As far as the subject at hand, that seems like a pretty good deal to me.

We also own both and love each of them. They are both very very fast but I'm lazy I wanted the push start j/k. I got my YFZ for $6400 OTD the TRX was $6700 OTD go figure:confused: The only real difference I can tell is that the TRX is light in the front end I didn't know what DW and everyone was talking about but it is very light. I think the TRX is plusher by far I'm a girl so I don't have the strength that guys have so the thumb throttle kicked my ***** but I got a twist and hopefully soon have the seat redone. My hubby said the shocks will soften the more I ride I hope so.

#420,
just strap a "JATO" bottle on the back of your 300ex and it'll go so fast in a strait line the yfz and trx guys won't know where you went.

Hell yeah, Abernathy's is the ****. Down there yesterday droolin on the black LE. Im tryin to get a friend of mine to get one but he wont get off his lazy arse and get a job. :huh If I didnt have the 416, Id be down there putting a down payment on the LE. Like you said, they want $6000 OTD for the LE and Blue one. Want $5600 for the 450R and have the two new LE Predators  I could live in that place, I love it. Bought 2 quads from there and will continue to do business there in the future.
The only problem I ran into yesterday was one of the salesmen. Went to the used shop first just to see what they had...the guy over there knew what he was talkin bout. Needless to say, when we went to the showroom it took 30 minutes for a rep to speak with us...apperently we didnt look serious? Finally got a rep and we asked him what the difference was between the R and YFZ...we knew this already but was curious to see what he said. Exact words: "Well, they're both pretty fast. Either one is a great deal." Yeah, ok. Few minutes later I overheard him talking with another customer. The customer was looking for a 250ex, which they didnt have in the showroom, and the rep thought he was talking about a Recon ES. :huh Appearently the prerequisites for that job is breathin.

Anyways, just had to tell my story there, but just depends on where you go. If yer in Southern Indiana, hit Abernathy's a lick and pick up a quad there. Yer not gonna burn $1000 in gas and will not have to pay sales tax b/c Tenn and IN do not have an agreement like KY and TN do. The IRS can now send you a nice bill for sales tax, surcharges, and some more BS for purchasing anything in the state of TN w/o paying the KY sales tax. Even after taxes though, Abernathy's prices are far cheaper than the other dealers in West KY that weve talked to so far. :)
