Laker Custom 450r Preview

Laker Custom has just finished up there first set of plastics for the 450r. Two of the pictures come with prototype race cut fenders. The design may change for the front fenders. Laker Custom is taking pre-orders now. There is no definite date as to when they will be out to the public. For orders call 480.926.0574

The first pic is with the prototype race cut fenders.

be aware that the rear plastics may look skinny. This 450r has an aftermarket Lonestar axle on it.

They have orange, but I have never seen their color of orange. Orange is a new color for Laker this year.

im not feeling it, they should make the rears drop lower to close the gap between the heel guards. ill stick with stock.

Looks nice, I like the nose piece, it is different. Would look really nice with a chrome stem and bars.

I really like the race cut front fenders, but I think just a normal smooth hood would look a little better. I like the style of the nose of the hood though.

I think the rear fenders still need to be about 2 inches wider. They don't give much protection from the rear tires at all. Im just not feelin that hood eathier. :(

i love that yellow i really wish honda would make that yellow again, looks so much better then the red, but o well what can you do, i love the honda...

yes yellow will be available. All the basic colors will be available also. Orange, Yellow, Blue, Red, Silver, Black, Green, I think there are some more colors. Im not the official spokesman for Laker but I will try to answer all the questions I can.

The guys at Laker will be scanning this thread so keep you opinions coming.

Yea ditch that nose piece it looks ridiculous. Make something like quad tech or carbon man or like the quadtech naca duct...that would look sweet. Also, get like the fullbore burnt orange color made and get clear made.....i think every1 will agree with me there

this may be a stupid question, but can i use my stock headlight and hood with those fenders??
i like them they lok good, but i need lights

Lakers plan is to make three different hoods. The hood you see on my 450r, a smooth race hood and one for the headlights also.

You still can use the headlights with these plastics as long as you get the hood to fit it.

The thing about the 450r's that I never liked was that the very front of the plastic looked too fat, compare it to a yfx or z-400 or just about any other sport quad out there, and you'll see what I'm talkin about, I think this new plastic helps slim down the front end a little bit. IMO one of the best lookin 450r's I've seen.

you guys are all saying you whant the hood to look more like the quad tech and others and a fullbore color, well just go buy a quad tech or fullbore. i may be wrong but the point of laker is to have a differant look and a differant company than just the too main guys (fullbore, meir) that way theres not more clone quads with just differant grafics. now i don't like the hood and plastic but i don't hate it ether. it's just good to see something new and differant .

i think without the fenders they look like DS650's.:blah: i like the plastic but i think the hood could do without the scoop that big. i like the general shape of the hood though. i think it looks mean:macho . i do love that burnt orange, great color, but i like the grey too.i need to see the hood with the headlights cause id have to keep my lights. the back fenders could use a little more volume to them. i think it needs more of a sleek race look. thats just my 2 cents.:D

MAKE 400/250R STYLE FENDERS, they would be the most popular i guarantee it.

im not a fan of that look, the hood is too fancy, they should atleast make the front a one-piece and make it solid all over where the hood is...

Truthfully when I first saw that pic a few days ago I HATED it, it looked like crap IMO but now it is growing on me. I think the biggest thing is getting used to the scoop. Im sure it would look better in another color or maybe even carbon fiber looking.
