Samoa Dunes in Eureka

I am planning a trip to the Samoa sand dunes June 14-18. I'd just like to know if anyone has been there and what the place is like. I want some info on the place so I can be prepared for my trip. Thanks.

I never rode there but stopped by and looked it over. Not a whole lot of riding area from what it looks like. I would guess that after about an hour it would get boring. I can't say enough good about Coos Bay, Winchester Bay, etc. those areas are just 4 hrs. farther north and offer much better riding, scenery, everything. You could stay at those places for days and never ride all the trails/BIG dunes. The logging roads in the Nor Cal Mnt.s would be more fun than Samoa to me.

I noticed too at Samoa that there was no one around the parking area. The trash there told me it was a party area. I got the feeling that it was a great place to have your stuff ripped off/vandalized. If you ride there, give us a full report.
