HMF slipon jetting for SF Bay area CALIFORNIA

Greetings:

Im trying to help out a buddy mod his 03 400ex after he wrecked and has it all apart. He wants to run a HMF slipon with quiet core (the quietest pipe?), K&N filter and adapter n outerwear, and no lid.

We ride at pismo, hollister hills, stoneyford etc.. dunes and trails. Anyone from the bay area or anywhere in California for that matter that is running a similar setup and can give any setup suggestions?

We were guessing around a 158 main, 40 pilot, 3rd clip on the stock needle, 2.5 turns out on the fuel adjustment..

Any help would be appreciated.. trying to get Team Red up and running before the 4th when we are at Pismo for the madness.

i got a full balance hmf system. im runnin higher, like a 180 190. site says like a 200 for full system. everything else seemed lean. got a k n and im gonna be running the air box lid off.

where in cali you at? im san jose/morgan hill area.

go with a 158 main and a 40 or 42 pilot. the stock needle clip position should be fine. i found in winter the 4th position worked best for me.
