ya that battle was preaty big and alot of people died in it we just finished studying it in history

just thought id let ye know that the youngest person killed on d-day was 15 years old

anyways they all get my respect

imagine what would have happened if we didnt take that beach, russia army was already huge larger then germanys they would have just marched across europe and took it, and possibly today there would be communism in ALL of europe, lets all remember the vets

i just watched a thing on the history channel and they said 300,000 US soldiers were killed.....idk about you but i think that DESERVES recognition. I think those men deserve more then they get.

i think 300,000 in the whole war, between all the beaches on france i think 10-20,000 died but at omaha alone(normandy) 2500 died

just seeing that beach makes me think DAMN that had to be the scariest thing on earth....



and seeing the cemetary where no matter which way u look at it the rows line up...

10000-12000 died when we hit the beach the krauts were already there and we were just sitting ducks:(

Thank you, Veterans... These words are not enough to express our gratitude to you.

My grandfather was a POW in this war, and hearing some of the stories from him and my dad really made me appreciate the freedom we have been blessed us with.

I wish the WWII memorial had been built 50 years ago...but nonetheless, I'm glad to see a reality. :)

God bless all of the people who fight and have fought for this great country. Thank you, and you are not forgotten.
