Took my 450 out for the first time today and it seem to me that it was running rich{bubbley} and it back fired 4 times in a hour and one was extremly loud.So i took it home. Mine has the HRC kit. Is there someting worng?

Mine did the exact same thing. It cleared up after a ride or so and only if you go from 3/4 throttle or so and let off will it backfire now.

chances are the jetting is off. find out what the dealer installed and post the info.

i hope they install the kit they gave me a box with a few of og parts and empty bags with labels on them.
do you mean find out the jetting specs?

yeah or maybe the HRC kit comes with a specific main jet ...im not certain.

i looked into the hrc kit book and there is a different main jet and needle. no setting info.

Turn off the fuel. On the left side of the carb there is a flat head screw. Open it and drain the fuel out of the bowl. On the bottom of he bowl on the carb there is a cap. Get a wrench and remove it. Then get a 6mm socket and reach up in there and remove the jet. The size will be stamped on it.

Mine was the same way. It turned out I was just running out of gas.

HRC kit comes with a 185 main and the needle is supposed to be set at the 3rd groove from the top.

Pull the cap off the bottom and check the jet size.If your capable remove gas tank take the 3 screws off of top of carb and remove the 2 small screws way done the barrel and remove the needle and see if your on the correct groove.

Is your choke stuck on?

I'm running a 190 main, 4th clip on needle and a 52 pilot and it rips.
starts perfect even really hot.

The choke was on. After i got of the internet the other night i read the book and seen that. I took it out the next morning and it was flyin.

i did that with my 400ex when I opened it up out of the boxes a few christmas's ago...everytime I let off the throttle it would die...then i called the dealer I bought it from & they told me to check the chocke lever & I did & it ran balls out after that...lol, that was quite a fun day
