I took off my clutch cover to get out a broken oil filter bolt. When i took off the cover i noticed there was no gasket, there was this orange rubbery (sp) stuff and i dont know what it is.

the last hillbilly that had it apart used silicone, go to your dealer and get a gastket when you put it back together and be sure to scrape all the residue off first

the silicon will get broke down by the oil and could get stuck in oil passages

if they were to cheap to use a gasket i would assume that they probably didn't go to great lengths to use hondabond
