it was an hmf that I cut about 4 inches off. and I only got $6000 for it. I put well over $13,000 into it. I really regret selling it. but I guess the car was worth it

THanks for all the comments. I really wish I stull had the bike. I dont know what I was thinkin when I sold it. but anyways, it really ran like a bear. It was a 426 with a few goodies on it and it ran pretty well. I think if I did it all over again I wouldnt change much

damn RideRed400StYlE thats one nice 400 you had. probaly one of the nicest ive ever seen, and as much as i like the wrx's i dont think i would have ever sold that 400 for it.

RideRed400StYlE
06-06-2004, 08:47 AM
well, if it was just a wrx I dont think I would have sold it for it. but since the release of the STI I just had to have it. I mean 300hp/300lbtq is just amazing. I am going to build another bike probably next year. I only owe $7000 on the car now. so I am gunna try and pay it off asap and then buy another bike

I have to agree that STi pulls like a friggun mule. For the size of the car its an *** load of power. I would love to take one out on the fire roads in the woods here. But the $price tag is a little steep.

yea thats true you got the better motor for sure

mine wasnt to bad. 12.5:1 compression, carrillo rod, full hinson clutches, heavy duty valve springs, hardend rockers, and a ton of other good stuff. then the bolts that hold the sleeve down came loose and ripped the bottom of the cylinder off (you know the part that sticks out) its gonna take me a long time to clean that thing up. i have no idea how much damage it might have, the top end is good but the piston and cylinder head are shot. :(

Ouch.......I saw two rods break this season, and junk the whole motor but the head cover. One 470 stroker broke the rod and shot chunks of the case all over the track. Another, of an unknown bore, broke at the same track on the same night, and between a combination of a valve dropping and the rod breaking junked the head cylinder, cases, crank, starter, transmission, left side case, etc. The rod knocked the front out of the case, the bottom, and knocked the starter off breaking the side case.

that sucks that it let loose. its kind of hard to believe the carrillo rod let loose. they are like hella strong. same rod I had in my 13:1 426

it was a quad made in about 2000 or 1999 by husquevarna(sp?) and it was goin to go into production but they had to many problems with it and dropped it...

it was super fast and u had the option between a few motors on it...

its basically the same geometry as a banshee i hear... the frames are almost identical and u can use SHEE parts on it...

Pappy
06-08-2004, 08:52 AM

Hotdog
06-08-2004, 09:51 AM
I've got alot taller since that pic.

The husky enforcer is a very fast quad, but did handle that well. My uncle use to own a Husky dealership and he had one in for a couple of weeks. He built a three wheeler one time that was a ATC250r chassis with a husky 500 motor on it and raced it a blackwater back in the earlier 90's.

06-08-2004, 09:57 AM
I believe the enforcer was made by husaburg not by husquevarna(sp?) I think. I could very easily be wrong!

how do you like the 416? does it pull pretty hard? I've thought about putting the extra 10 cc's into mind to make it a 416, but sure if/when i'll do it though

Quadzilla
06-11-2004, 07:45 AM
She pulls damn hard but it's mostly in the upper rpm's. I lost some low end. If I had to do it all over again, I'd prob do a Stage I cam vs Stage II. I ride mostly trails in central PA. The Stage II does come in handy on the coal pile hill climbs I do though!

NTPracing22
06-11-2004, 09:19 AM
so the stage 2 is mostly mid to top end? how much did the cam cost?

My 406 hits hardest in the low to mid range, I'd like it to be strongest is the upper-mid range. I've fooled around with gearing and got a pretty good balance going on, but i find myself short shifting with a 15t in front to get the power. (which isn't a bad thing, i'd actually perfet to short shift rather than rev the thing out)

Quadzilla
06-11-2004, 09:39 AM
Yes Stg II is mid to top end. They go for about $125....

chef i hate to burst you bubble, but its obvious in that pic of your 400 that the left sidecase is off of another honda motor....probably a crf 50, but maybe you just welded that onto the side of your ex motor and need the radiator to make up for the lost oil capacity:eek: :huh :D :D

VERY trick front end though...lookin nice
