Used shock revalving

Being that I'm not super rich and can't afford to buy some of those higher priced shocks, would it be a smart idea to buy some used Works and have someone like Derisi revalve them? Or is this a stupid idea? I am talking about front shocks only. I want to get a stock rear shock and have it redone as well. Tell me if I am just wasting my time or if it can be a good idea.

Fronts cannot be revalved as they are not rebuildable. Rear can be and well worth it ($175 @ Derisi).

Yes you could buy some used Works and have Santo revalve them. You would be a lot happier with them than just stockers. And he does a great job on the rears as well.
