im thinking about upgrading my front suspension. I do mostly trail riding and no racing. I am on some what of a budget and was wondering if the works are good shock or is it worth saving a little extra and getting the Elkas ???

works should work perfectly for u then, elka r for the hard core type shocks for racing and other stuff but r worth the money, works also worth the money but r just 1 step better then stock,u could get elka and have the better shock but the type ridin ur doin ain't worth the extra $$$,but if u later decide to ride mx tracks and have fun the elka would be good to have,o well works will get teh job done

I think the Elka's were worth the money just for the fact that they are SSD (zero preload). It lowers the ride height and improves handling. Also the Elka's quality/workmanship are way ahead of the Works. Both are much better than stock though.

Be ashamed for comparing the too! j/k, but they dont compare. For you get the decent elkas without rezzies and upgrade later.

Yes the rezzies add cooling for the long rides, and in most cases the option of Compression adjust.

yea the rezzies just hold more oil in the shocks....so it will keep the shocks cooler on longer rides

I've never had a problem with my Works shocks. They have been very good so far. I race and they never sag through the turns or bottom out over jumps. Alot better than the stockers. Good choice if your on a budget.
