Oil filter cover

I managed to strip the left bolt of the 2 bolts on the oil filter cover. Any idea on how to get it out b/c i kinda need to change my oil filter haha? Hoper i dont need a new side case.:(

I did the same thing. I had to use a tap and die.

i can remember which i did, left or right....it was the long one. anyway you will have to remove your side case, and put in a helicoil. i called the local shop and they did it for $15.

same thing happend to me on the long bolt i orderd a new bolt and gasket and had a small engines shop do it for me cost about 50 bucks total
