quad sitting in yard

Hey guys ,

Need some input... There is a house down the road from me that has a quad sitting in their yard..it's been there for a while.
I want to offer the guy some $$ to take it off his hands, what I need to know is...

What kind of damage/problems can I have with the engine??

It is a liquid cooled 4stroke, I know the carb/gas could be an area of concern, but what about the engine guts?? Is there any tests I can do??

Bottom line...... is it worth it??

Any idea what it is? Is it a sport or a utility?

Take some gas,tools,battery,starting fluid over there.

Drain the carb/tank, put some fresh gas in it & try to get it to turn over check the plug for spark & you should find out a lot.

it's a sport quad....

A Mojave 250....seat is ripped up and grass growing all around the thing. All I can see is the rear end as I drive by.

One good thing, no flat tires as far asI can see...

What do you guys think is a fair offer if Idon't do anything to see if it runs?? It might be easier to just offer $500 and get it out of there. If they know it runs, they may want more....
