I've got a CFM performance box (coming soon to the EXriders.com store)...

The thing I like about them is they have mounting points inside for all the electronics, not just the battery..

The only downside that I can see is I don't believe you would be able to use an aftermarket seat latch..

Will that box mount up to a stock sub-frame or an aftermarket?
What's the price on the box?
Thanks leo.

they sell those airboxes on ebay and they do fit the stock subframe.

I've got 2 sitting here right now.. $200 + shipping (UPS only as priority mail would be to expensive..)

Yes they do fit the stock subfame, very nicely in fact... The only thing that I can see is if your using one of the aftermarket seat latches they might interfere (it would be close, but I don't have one here to try..)

yo leo, is the airbox and battery difficult to insert? anyway how do you put a pic. under yer name? thanx.;)

Leo

No, the battery isn't hard to put in.. there is more room between the subframe and battery than it appears in the pics.

I really like them, they aren't cheap, but they are the first ones I've seen that have real mounts inside for all the electronics..

Visit the "USER CP" link on the top of the page to add your 'avatar' (picture under your name)..

If you need help adding your pic, PM me and I'll help you out.

It seems that those of us that ride in wet and muddy areas would benefit most from an air box that holds the battery and wires. Yet no one makes one that comes with a lid. Not that I can afford one yet, but i'm not even going to put it on my "List of Things to Buy" until someone makes one with a lid. Just my $.02

I am with JOEX. I want a AirBox really Bad, but I am not Riding without a Lid.

From the looks of it, it doesn't seem that you wouldn't be able to put a larger than stock filer (like my UNI) in there with all the electronics mounted.

In the Picture on Ebay they had a UNI Filter in there. I don`t think a K&N would fit though.

I just had one of those made by my friend at the machine shop. it looks almost just like that and also has the mounts for all the electronics. It looks great. im going to get it powdercoated with everything else. I havent paid him yet but he said it will be $75 at the most. I dont understand why those companies charge so much. The materials are cheap and they are very easy to make

You don't need a lid just clean your filet after every ride, thats what i do.

For XC Racing I want a Lid. I don`t like having all that Water, Dirt, and Dust being able to get to my Filter so Easy. I won`t Ride without a Lid. Chad is right. They Charge way to much for the Boxes, but people Buy them.
