would i be able to put stock 250r arms on my 300ex? what would i have to do to make them fit? how much more width would i get?
would it be worth it?

Yes I have heard that they bolt right up, and add about 1.5 or 2 inches. You might have to make a bracket for the shock though, im not sure.

You can bolt the 250r a-arms right on. The stock 300 shocks will work But they lower the quad and are too soft. You must do 1 of 2 things. 1. You will need to fab up some taller upper mounts to use the 250r shocks. 2. You will need to have a shock company make you some custom length shocks.
