filter oil question

Pretty simple question - is it ok to use K&N filter oil on a Uni foam filter also? I have the K&N oil but just got a Uni from Kirks for my boys 90 and is my first Uni. Your experienced input is appreciatted.

K&N filters are a paper/gauze filter, UNI is a foam filter. Each type requires a different oil, not interchangeable.

It will be better than nothing, but I would use something else. if you don't have any foam filter oil laying around, and want to use it right away, use some motor oil on the filter. The best thing to use is purpose-built foam filter oil however because it has a high tack quality and stays in the filter very well.

Thanks for the responses. I went and bought the uni filter oil today and installed it. Just did'nt want to have to buy something else if I did'nt need to. The K&N filters are sure gettin pricey.
