Well I'm in the market to buy a truck so I can haul my YFZ around with and buy an enclosed trailer . I'd love to get a new Chevy Silverado 2500 HD 4x4 Quadcab . I've tried out one of these Duramax Diesels and they haul *** . We had a 40 something foot enclosed car trailer loaded to the max and this truck pulled it liek there was nothing there . This is by far my Dream Truck . All Black with Leather interior and tinted windows . What would be your dream truck ???

Toyota tacoma extended cab prerunner. I would have a hyrdrogen/electric hybrid fuel powered engine. It would be lifted and 4x4 on 33 inch m/t baja claw tires. Either that or a 1970s Jeep j10 with the same hydrogen/electric hybrid fueled engine. these engines would have the tourqe or a diesel and get over 50 mpg...the would run on water....and to even further my money saving idea I would steal the water from a neighbors hose... :huh

My dream truck....

It would be a 2002 (I like the hood) Chevy 3500 loaded, with a Cummins 6 spd swapped in.....

But since that is not an option, the truck listed above with the Duramax/Allison combo is pretty sweet as well. A buddy of mine has two for his business.... a 2500 quad cab and a 3500 quad cab... both loaded... they are sweet!!!

well if you knew anything about airbags, then you restate what you just said, if the setup is done CORRECTLY, then not only will it ride better than a stock truck, but also be just as reliable

My 'dream' truck would be a 1968 Chevy 4x4 slightly lifted w/33's. If I were to get a newer used truck it would be the 2002 Chevy 3500 HD with the Duramax/Allison combo. If it were to be brand new it would be a GMC Sierra (sorry Chevy, you wrecked the looks on the grill) 3500 HD crew cab, single-wheel, 4x4 with the Duramax/Allison combo.

INFO:

Coletti’s team fit the SVT Lightning concept with an all-aluminum, 5.4-liter DOHC supercharged and intercooled V-8 engine conservatively rated at 500 horsepower and 500 foot pounds of torque (SAE net). And while they were at it, they invented and patented a speed secret for those times when even that much power just isn’t enough.

Ford’s patented SuperCooler technology cleverly provides a special burst of power for the SVT Lightning concept. Traditional intercoolers dissipate heat from the supercharged air by circulating coolant through a front-mounted, air-cooled radiator. With the SuperCooler system, the vehicle’s air conditioning system is used to chill a small storage tank of coolant to about 30 degrees Fahrenheit.

On demand, the SuperCooler system switches the intercooler flow from its normal circulation and dumps the chilled coolant into the engine’s intercooler. In turn, the intercooler dissipates up to 20 percent more heat from the charge air - resulting in a denser air charge.

A green light on the instrument panel indicates the system’s readiness. SuperCooler is activated automatically when the driver depresses the accelerator to a wide-open-throttle position.

"This technology plays directly into the hands of the enthusiast," Coletti says. "The SuperCooler provides the edge for the driver, and it is done simply by taking advantage of the hardware that already exists in the vehicle."

As a result of this cool technology, the SVT Lighting concept can give its driver as much as 50 transient horsepower for short bursts of 30-45 seconds and regenerate within 2 minutes under normal driving conditions. While its effect is similar to that of an aftermarket nitrous oxide system, the SuperCooler is completely self-contained, environmentally friendly and regenerative.

I'm assuming you mean a 'diesel' truck. If that's the case, you won't have to worry about changing spark plugs... they don't have any. Same for a carb, Edelbrock, or others. And you live in PA, why you want to fly the Confederate flag here?

Thornbirds are the absolute WORST tire Interco makes. Its not even worthy of the Interco name. Absolutely awful tire.

And, a 720 cfm carb would be too small for that 572.

Holy Crap the price has went down a lot in the past couple years.

the sticker on my truck new was 37Gs and it is only an extended cab with the little 8.1 in it. and it is only a LT

add 5 G's for the deisel and another 1500 for the quad cab. I would think the sticker would have been much more than that. good thing I bought mine used.

MUST WE DO THIS? 7" OF LIFT MIGHT WORK WITH 39" TIRES (WITH SOME FENDER TRIMMING) BUT UNLESS YOU HAVE A FORD 3/4 OR 1 TON HIGHBOY THERE IS NO WAY YOU ARE GOING TO RUN 44' TIRES, ON ANY MODEL AMERICAN MADE PICKUP WITH OUT A MINIMUM OF 10" OF LIFT WITHOUT CUTTING THE FENDERWELLS.
I DOUBT THAT THE TRUCK IN THE PIC IS A 1/2 TON, MORE LIKE 3/4, AND THE FENDERS ARE A OBVIOUSLY TRIMMED ON IT. ITS HARD TO REALLY TELL IF IT EVEN HAS 44" ON IT. THEY MAY BE 39.5" BOGGERS.
I'M NOT BASHING THE TRUCK I REALLY DO LIKE IT, I'M JUST BEING REALISTIC FOR A MOMENT. I WAS ONLY PLAYING IN MY EARLIER POST BUT DON'T THROW OUT BS. AS FACTS

maybe its just me, an im from the east coast, but i dont know why everyone wants these lifted trucks. personally i think there dumb. I bet 75% of everyone here want there dream trucks lifted with them big ol mud boggin tires wouldnt even use the truck for off road, nothing more to show off, and u cant tell me that the lifts and the tires HELP gas milage. Like damn, my dad just gave me his 2003 F-150 with the v6 4.6 in it and im only getting like 16miles to the gallon. I cant even imagine what the lifted trucks get and with these gas prices these days its rediculous.

personally id love to have the 2500HD but do i need it? nope. the F150 is just fine for me in stock trim, i can still go offroad with it, pull the trailers and get my quad where i wanna go. Wish i had an S10 tho, so i could slam it to the ground and add rims and such. ( east coast thing ) but im not one to argue when my dad goes, "You can have this truck"

Lifted trucks are to high for fat chicks to climb into
Dropped trucks are too low for a fat hoe
I prefer lifted because.. you can just smash and kill stuff.

its okay, 20 inches of lift? is that nessesary? no, if you turned a corner goin 20+ mph that thing would flip. 9" is the highest i'd go. i was lookin at a 1999 chevy 2500 w/ a vortech v8 (not sure wat size), 4.56 gears, 12 inch pro comp lift, bad *** system, 20,000 miles, for $18,000. it was definately sweet but the lift was just to high for my liking. im all for lifting trucks, lowering them just pu$$yfies them. I myself have a f-250 fx4 with a 4inch lift & 35's, but theres no way id put any thing higher than a 9 inch lift on any thing. cuz once you go higher than like 12" the trucks are just pu$$yfied again, they are nothing but show queens, & magazine trucks(like that suburban), there not REAL trucks.
