need some computer help

ok first i have windows 98 2nd edition and i was wondering how do i stop programs from opening when my computer starts i have like 20 things that open when my computer starts up thanks any help i am grateful for

Start -> run -> msconfig -> startup -> uncheck the programs you don't want -> apply -> ok -> restart

A few ways....anything in your "Startup" folder will run when the computer goes into windows. You can take some crap out of there but it won't get rid of it all.

When the computer starts you can hold Control + Shift right after you see the Win 98 logo and that will stop the programs from opening.

or....the best way probably is go to to start>run and type "msconfig" (no quotes), then click the "startup" tab and uncheck what you don't want to start.
