Last weekend I learned the history of my 300EX...

I was sitting at a gas station, when 2 people on Banshees pulled up. The both kept looking at me funny, so I rode over to talk to them. Turns out, they knew the previous owner of my quad.

Before then, I had noticed 2 weld spots near the front of the frame... I didnt think much of it.

They told me a story...

My quad and a 250X were on a trailer. The truck swerved off the road, and both ATVs fell out of the trailer and into the road. Both were totalled in the wreck.

The frame on the 250X was broken, but repairable. The frame on the 300 was a mangled wreck. They repaired the 250X frame, and mounted the 300 engine into it. Then they replaced the plastic and seat on the 300, which would explain why I have an aftermarket seat cover. The wheels from the 300EX were annihalated, so they replaced them with some stock tires and wheels off of an old ATC250r. This explains why when I used the stock wheels, which were actually from the 250X, were bent noticably.

I thought it was funny hearing all of this stuff I had never known about. I wonder if knowing the history of my quad adds to its value?
