what is the diffrence between the stainless and ceramic curtis sparks exhaust

Stainless won't rust. Ceramic Sparks pipe will. Trust me, I've had 4 of them!!

stainless is what i prefer too but just doesn't quite have the performance of the ceramic. the heat transfer is better with the ceramic.

I've heard the best way is to get the stainless and have it ceramic coated. Then you get the benefits of both.

I had the stainless, I can't give ya honest opinion because I didn't have it very long but I think the ceramic looks better but in the long run, I'm sure the stainless will outlast the ceramic.

If you bought the stainless, could you coat it yourself with something else that would help with heat transfer? I've heard something about this...

i have no clue who is best or who does a cheap job. everytime i lean towards one of these someone tells me how theirs flaked or chipped quickly with that company.

i choose the stainless sparks because i used to have a ceremic pipe and it didnt last long and neither did my cousins. i will eventualy have it coated.

Anyone know how much it will cost to coat it later and how good of a quality it would be? Better, worse, or same as the ceramic coating by Sparks?

as far as cost i dont know but im pretty sure it would be better lasting.

from jet hot to get it coated inside and out for the header and silencer they quoted me somewhere around $150. they weren't sure if they would be able to do the inside of the silencer though becasue the aluminum may be too thin and the heating process could melt it a bit.
