Little Sahara, OK, Memorial Weekend

Did anyone else make it out there? We made it down there friday afternoon, and the park was really full. We camped on the cowboy loop like usual, and best of all, we didn't have to pay camping fees the whole time we were there! The dunes were awesome for jumping, the wind made great peaks on all the big hills. I thought it was pretty cool the guys from nmotion technology were down there with the dyno in the trailer, they had quite the crowd gathered around there when we stopped by on saturday. Does anyone else eat at the mexican restaraunt El Charro in Waynoka?? We ate in there around noon on saturday, and we were pretty much the only duners in there. The only reason I bring this up is the food is awesome!! Anyways...hope everyone had a safe trip, I know the ambulance buggy made quite a few trips out onto the dunes.

i was there fri and sat till the storms moved in blew a base gasket and head gaskets draggin sat got some good passes in but didint get dyno run in but had ablast as usual lot of wrecks saw ambulance few times there i was at he hawkins motorsports and collins motorsports camp we had three enloced race trailers with three dune banshees and raptors and the 450r with us maybe u saw us ? also had a white and red 450 yfz bike there

I'm not sure I saw you guys. Where were you camped at? The storm on sat. didn't end up doing anything. We were out riding, and watched it blow through. I think I got about three rain drops on my goggles. I dragged my 450R a couple times on sat., but it needs a little more hp. I think it's funny the yfz is your backup bike!

it wasint mine zane rides his banshee in the dunes but brings the yfz i blew my rappie and rode it thank god he did bring it lol

We got down there Thursday night and stayed until Monday morning. The campground(south) was packed, but I didn't think the dunes were very busy. That wind on Saturday made for some good peaks, but other than that, it sucked. Everytime we stopped to take a water break, you'd get sand blasted when you took your helmet off :(

The dyno was cool. Best thing was the O2 sensor for your exhaust. I thought my bike was running pretty good, but I couldn't believe how rich it was running. When I rejetted it, I gained over 2 more hp! And it still needed to be leaned out some more.

Right on! I heard they were down there with the dyno...haven't heard from anyone who ran on it yet though. So what kind of HP are you croke'n?

After rejetting, it put down 40.48 hp @ 8200rpm, with a max rpm of 9860 and 82mph. And it was still slightly fat on the needle and main, and too fat on the pilot. I'm guessing it might get around 42 hp with the jetting dialed in right. I'm pretty happy with that, since my expectation was around 37 to 38 hp.:macho

With your 416? That's pretty sweet! Did you have the 450r down there too? Were you able to dyno the R? Are you guys planning another trip anytime soon?

I raced a quick 400ex with my 450R on saturday. It stayed with me till I got in third gear, than I started pulling away. It could have been my geckos slowing me down though! :D

Yup, that was my 416 numbers. The nephew's 450R was down there as well. He still has the bragging rights I guess, cause his turned out 40.56 hp. So I guess he's got me beat by .08 hp :blah: But on the drags, the lighter weight and quicker revs really showed cause it was consistantly about 1-2 bike lengths ahead of me, and that was with 2 different people riding it. Sounds like maybe it's time to pass the ol' ketchup and mustard fo hunny on to Mrs. Bad Habit so I can go new quad shopping:cool:

Unfortunately, I won't be able to make another trip down there for quite some time. With the new business opening it's doors in 4 weeks, I'm in serious crunch time right now. Maybe come this winter I'll be able to sneek away for a weekend. I gotta hook up with you Zep dudes one of these trips.

hey bad i saw u in the park i had the blue raptor with the k&k kit crome ggrill and tribal cut fenders i also was rididng around the park on a flat black cr50 with a bike horn and mirror those were on there to pimp (note)they didint werk at all :(

we stayed in the south camp ground and i think i only saw about 6 450r's including mine. there was one with the duncan graphics, one had sparks pipe, and the others i think were stock.

I dropped off two more roles of film to get developed before I left for work tonight, so I'll post more pics tomorrow. My 450r landed awesome! It was a slight downhill landing, and the suspension soaked it all up. My brother in law was bottoming out the front end of his 400ex though. Where do you guys ride at around here? I don't even keep my bike up here cause I don't really know of any places to ride besides Perry lake. More pics tomorrow, I gotta get back to workin!

Hey what's up. I live in Canter Ridge, the corner of Lucy Webb and School Road. Remington isn't to far (not that Raymore is that big anyway :p ) Drop me a line somtime. Do you ride around here much? I mostly ride at the dunes, not to many places around here that I know of.

Opening an equipment rental store. About 4 weeks away now from the grand opening. October/November MIGHT be doable, I'll just have to wait and see. Construction starts to slow down some, along with homeowners renting equipment in the fall, so I might be able to swing something. This is gonna be a loooooong summer.
