This will be my first GNC, what should I expect out of this track and my class? ( Open C ). Do you have any tips for making things go as smooth as possible this weekend?

Fred, I havent been to Casey yet, its also my first time but heres what atvnationals.com has to say about the track. I hope it helps.

One of the newer tracks on the GNC circuit, LTM has celebrated nearly instant success and recognition as one of the premier tracks in the series. Another high speed start straight graces this track. As you make it through the Left handed first turn you’ve got just a few seconds to set up for the hard right and the double double that follows it. A healthy step up/ tunnel jump leads you to a low tabletop and ski jump along the front of vendor row. A hairpin right sends you towards a small step up. Another quick Left and you’re over a short but challenging tabletop, another hairpin Right aims you towards an odd low tabletop, followed by a treacherous off camber. Within a few turns you’ll encounter one of the most impressive obstacles in ATV Racing. A monstrous triple in which you’ll take off uphill, fly over the top of the hill, and sail anywhere from 100’ to 160” down hill and into a right hand turn. Back uphill you go through a tricky whoop/ rhythm section before turning left and into the tree line where you’ll encounter a series of turns and double jumps before exiting onto the downhill ski jump. A left hand turn, one more uphill rhythm section and you’ll hang a left and see the finish line. A quick right lets you test yourself all over again.

As for helping your weekend go as smoothly as possible, bring a radio. You can tune into i think 88.1 or 88.5 somthing like that and here the race announcements. Also, do not miss ur moto, make sure u get to pre staging about 3 motos before yours. Bring your rain gear, the weather is showing we might get some showers. A power washer and a water barrel is almost always necessary

Do they usually have a place to wash your quad? I do not have a power washer and barrel.

Most tracks have a small quad washing station, but it depends on the track. I've never been to Casey so im not sure. If they do, it'll just be like a hook up for a hose or whatever.

my son races mini quads there and they did a good job describing the track. The track dries nicely however you might want to bring boots to walk around the pits if we get heavy rain. This is our first year racing and he is really excited about watching the "Big Boys" Good Luck to you all! Zman2

the weekend was horrible for me. my brother rode my bike on fridays practice because he blew his shock and i wasnt there yet. he ended up breaking my subframe. saturday i made it one lap and crashed on the step up giving me a dislocated shoulder. doc says im out for 6 weeks.

what a weekend, the track maintance was horrible along with their dust control. and not to mention they started the pros 2nd moto like 45 minutes late?

i dunno we probably wont be going to casey anymore.

Have to agree with you on the track prep it was horrible. why on earth would anybody disc the face of a jump?

what a weekend! I took a nasty wipe-out in practice...i came up short on the double double...scratched up back, arms, leg hurts bad!, exhaust burns, bumps on my head, broke helmet..but i got back on and kept going, lol.

You can ask exman, he saw it and boy did it hurt.

I agree track prep was sucked! They would water the blue-groove and it would just be slick all over...

I did meet a few exriders there...exman and his son, i met Jen696 again, and Fred55..there were some spectators that talked to me and said they noticed my bike from exriders too..
