I was wondering if any of you guys race the GNCC series on the new 450r. I have been racing this year on a 04 V-force. The V has Elka's , bead locks w/ Razor 2, pro design pegs, MBRP dual exhaust. I was thinking about running the 450r in the 4 stroke stock class.

I will bet that you will see half the Pro line up on 450R's nexst year alot of the guys are switching now,They want to finish the race & the Honda can do that & not let you down when the YFZ will have some sort of proplem.

You have a very good point there.......Honda translates to R-E-L-I-A-B-L-E.

Im sure Honda's Contingency Program made up a couple peoples decision :macho .

At Rausch Creek GNCC, it seemed there were just as many trx450r's as YFZ450's.

I am 41 and racing A class in the Iowa Harescramble series, I have had excellent starts being one of the first off the line and finishing in the top 10 near top five consistantly,,, I am pretty happy with the perfomance, It could be one inch wider and a little more travel in my opinion. I am still saving for that upgrade. The Z:cool:

I race one in the super senior class of the GNCC. I raced a 400ex last year and It took a little while to get used to the extra power. Its a great quad. I am glad I bought it over the Yammi. It seems that it has never ending power. I have 8 races on it now and I still love it. I haven't had anything go wrong yet. Even the brake pads last longer than the 400ex. I go to the races with a lot of guys that have the blue one, and most of them have had trouble finishing races because of a dead battery or what ever. I haven't had a DNF yet. I would highly recomend the Trx450r. At the Texas GNCC race there was only two racing, Florida there was three, North Carolina there was a dozen, now after 8 races have gone by the last race I think that there was more Honda 450's than Yamaha's. And I have gotten Honda contigency money on 5 of the 8 races. Sweet. I ride a Honda and proud of it.

I would like to see you in the top 20. Also I would like to see you right ahead of that white 250r when you pass me. Keep up the good work and that will happen. See ya in VA

I raced My first ever gncc at Gilmore, TX this year. I was on my completely stock 450R and got 11th out of 40+ in the 4-stroke B class, it seemed that it did awsome in the woods for a stock bike and had good suspension and power for stock. At that time there was maybe 5 R's out there but I haven't been to anymore gncc's, i'm glad to here the 450's comming along in the pro ranks, same is startin to happen in the gnc now that they are getting them handling right.:)

How does everyone have their suspension set up?

I've seen shock settings for MX, but not XC. Next year, I'll probably get mine re-valved for the woods.

I am also running a 13/39 sprocket setup, but haven't really tested it out in the woods yet. I'll be going out today, so we'll see how it goes.
