what kind of riding do you do? If you ride trails no more than +2. If you ride MX get +3s with 4-1 rims.

i agree with lil 300 ex kid but dont get the a-arms that move the tires an inch forward unless you are racing TT or hill climb. you really dont need that extra inch and i think it wouldnt feel right jumping if you had it. i race MX and SX and im planning on just going +2

If you plan on riding just tracks predominantly go with a set of +3's. If you want to ride trails some times go +2 but you are still gonna be a bit wide for the tight stuff. Bottom line, you want +3's to be as wide as possible (and as close to the 50" max width allowed), to improve your cornering and handling at speeds and through the rough stuff.

yeah i noticed thats what u asked and no one has said anytihng about that +1 forward. funny ehh

the +1 forward isnt a good idea for MX type riding, it throws the center of weight out of wack and makes it difficult to handle in the air. it also makes the quad turn sharp.

note this is for a 400ex, the 250r on the other hand, the +1 forward is a good idea, but dont know the reasoning behind it, never looked into it.. dont have a 250r

now if u race flat track OR have a 1 1/4 swinger arm, the +1 forward may be a benifit for you, with the 1 .1/4 swinger, the forward inch will bring everything close to the stock feeling, and still beable to keep ur front end down on the holeshot. and for flat track u want to turn as sharp as you can, most TT/Flat trackers run -1 or -2 swing arms anyways.

what little difference in turning there would be from the +1 forward would actually mkae it not turn as sharp. Longer wheel base = less sharp turns

i have heard that when you get a extended swingarm that you need to get 1" forward arms to help put the center pf gravity back.
