as u can see kickingkfx400 was having a bad race because of steering problems and ralph2 (213) got stuck up in the bottleneck and is at 3 to last on the first lap out of 11 riders.

this rider was killing the whole group of the 2nd novice qualifier by 20-30 seconds. he was very fast and had a very nicly put together kfx400 too bad his luck changed in moto 2.
also ralph2(213) ended up finishing 5th after a long battle against a yfz450 wich everybody was focused on.

I did not take any pics of Novice Moto 2 because it was such an exciting race. First Ralph actualy got upfront on the wholeshot along side like 2-3 other quads(on a stock motor'd 400ex) but he messed up shifting (he couldnt hear his engine) wich then lead to him getting 2 pooplaris predators running up on him bringing him to the number 17 spot of about 18 riders. in that first turn number 13(green kfx, full fenders) got taken out. he won his qualifier and it was a shame for him to get taken out, he ended up not running cause it took him a while to get going. Ralph slowly mooved up to 11th where he was chasing a raptor with almost no visibility from all the mud on his goggles. he followed the raptor for a lap almost passing him once and then finnaly made the pass on him round a turn, he then passed a stalled banshee putting him in 9ht position wich he then went on to finish at. overal he had a very good race for his first real time and the competition was pretty damn good too.

nice pix. i was there racing in amateur but my day ended early when i overjumped the triple by about 20 feet. From what my friends told me, moto 2 of the novice class was pretty crazy. kind of makes me wish i stayed to watch.

Ralph

the novice moto 2 was pretty cool, i was happy for my friend since he again moved himself up so much being the underdog on a stock motored 400ex. The guy on the blue 400ex won amature class wich i thought was also cool but i think there is more talent in novice than amature. Most of the amature riders didnt even double the whoops when most of the novice is.

Thats actually a z-400 (no difference) and he definatley would have won the second moto and would have taken the overall but his wheel got tangled with a yfz's wheel and they couldnt get it unstuck until the race ended. Im pretty sure i saw you, you had like a mercedes SUV. Oh and what you said about the amatuers, the top 3 guys in that class are really fast including mx517 but all the other guys bumped themselves up from novices because they didnt like having qualifiers and not being able to qualify.

he was there lat time too.

some people (alot of people) are such sandbaggers over there. they're on $15G plus bikes and racing in the c class, give me a break, that guy should be running expert.i saw alot of other guys doing the same thing.
im not saying if you have a bike like his u are atomatically fast but....come on, i cant believe other racers dont protest.

i definatly agree, i talked to him and he is a somewhat new racer and he said he is gonna have them move him up according to points cause its how he likes it. just a preferance i guess.
but then there is alot of guys out there on sick quads wich werent too fast. There is deff way too many novice riders and the district should do something about it.

i think the blue 400ex, the yellow LSC bike, and the green z400 should get mooved to pro. then there should be a qualifieng race to divide the group into amateur

yea there were about 3 quads the whole day that cleared the uphill tripple despite how big it is,,,, i tried it,,, i just went as fast as i could, balls to the wall and i didnt come close,,, i came down so hard my clutch pperch snaped,,, dont ask me how butt.. anyway it was a fun day besides all the waiting, but i was alittle disapointed with all the troubbles i had,, getting caught up in the holeshot, getting roosted so bad on the first lap i almost had to ditch my googles, and shifting bad after i had the holeshot in the bag. and even after all that i still had a good time so... i guess i cant say much

i remember that section. thats where i surprised you lou. lol. once you left, i tried tripling in and the front end made it, but the back hit and the stock rear shock buck me right over the bars. my kidneys and back are bruised but whatever. needless to say, i didn't hit any more jumps the rest of the day except the first little bumps on the uphill, and the 6 jumps before the first turn out of the gate. My body is still killing me alot. Will ride there again soon and hit some more.

when i came to your truck, i was going to let you take mine for a spin but you were leaving. When you packed up, did you see me come around the corner and fly up the hill?

i also threw the chain on the uphill, the nut for the bottom stud came off, the stud head actually bent and had to go to jrd trailer for some bending back....Needless to say, in another month or two, Walsh rear setup on the way. Pos stock crap.

you didn't get a pic of my doubling in? you were standing on the third bump and i was within inches of you. lmao. my shock isn't even a rebuild, its just stock with the preload all the way down.
