I'm in the market for a new rear skid and just wanted to know what you guys thought were the best. i did not like the dg Baja one i had besides the fact that it cracked and broke off i thought it made me lose a lot of ground clearance

I have prm and its really strong. I was in 5th and my hub tire fell off and it went right down on the skid plate and it just got scratced up and did not bend.

I have PRM rear and to me they are the best. Chasis skid plate I like DG or MOOSE, I like the way they fit right under the frame and dont stick out like AC or PRM.

I have a PRM belly skid and it doesn't stick out at all. I know PRO-ARMOR does.DG and AC are ok for MX, but to wussy for the woods.PRM makes some good stuff. (.250 thick rear skids!)

I would say prm, dont buy um racing crap. I did the first time and endup replacing my rear skid after it bent like a taco in 2 races. The um skids are worese then stock. I would say prm, or richoceet. They are both made of the same .250 6061 aluminum.

I have had DG skids on many of my rides am am happy with them. Just remember...they are skid plates! So if you case it off some 90 foot jump or land on a stump or some other crazy chit...yeah, they might bend a little. No skid is perfect, I just want my frame and motor to not bear the brunt of the landing.

Only thing about DG I don't much care for is the mounting setup...those bolts can be a bear to get in and out.:o :)

I Dislike alot of DG's stuff, but the .250? Fat series skids can take hell. As you can see, I ride solid rock and They haven't bent yet

has anyone tried RAD skid plates? Nobody has mentioned Pro Armor either, their skids look pretty nice, I am planning on getting one soon. Protect makes a stainless steel one that will take anything! Stock is pretty awsome too... lol jk. Mine is toast but it lasted for a good bit... then again my dad welded a good bit on it...

Prm skids are tough as hell. I live close to their shop, and the one swing arm skid I screwed up, they cut out the bad part and welded new stuff in.

I have been running Pro Armor skids this year, and have not had any problems. They evan held up to Roush Creek's boulder fest GNCC weekend. Call Ray, you can't go wrong

Dude who first asked this question, as you can see everyone likes what they have. Make a decision on what you like, as far as what your conditions are. My DG Fat Series holds up great, as you could see. And it was light. Hands down the best from DG. Now, You just have lots to choose from.

AC skids will work fine if you don't ride/race where there are large amounts and large rock!
