whats up guys. i was riding on pauly-dogs track w/a friend of mine who has a really nice 250r(honda). anyway he has 18-11-8 turf tamers, its +2 and elkas. i have a 2002 400ex with 20-11-9 holeshots on the back and stock width and stock shocks. i noticed his quad was just sailing through the hairpin turns at the track, while mine it was everything i could do to keep my outside tires on the ground. i know the +2 is alot of it and the elkas w/the ssd help, but i was wondering if i switched my tires to 18-11-8 if it would have a good effect on my cornering. i know its alot of the rider too but i rode his 250r and i could corner twice as fast w/his quad then i could my own, and i only rode it for 2 or 3 minutes. any help would be appreciated, i want alot of your own personal opinions. thanks.

The 400ex is more tippy then a 250R but most of your problem is setup. If you want to corner like a MX machine you need to set it up like one. Smaller tires and widen it out.

Any good aftermarket like ELKA will keep the machine level into corners. The +2 helps more. there is no substitute for those. Be happy you don't have a raptor:rolleyes:

yeah setup has alot to do with your problem. The tires you have are a little taller than the 18"ers you are mentioning which would help lower you a little and also run like a 20 or 19" up front. I like the 20's. The arm and ZPS SSD shocks combo helps a ton to. Also an axle would be a good thing to. But if you have any other questions dont be afraid to ask me. PM me if you have any further setup issues.
