Speed or Air

Me and MXjunkie69 had an argument over this...

What is better,

Hiting a massive double and getting huge air...

Or getting a lot of speed...

i say going as fast as possible is more of a rush but thats jmo...everything flyin past so fast and everything.

They are both sweet but I perfer speed over air

i guess i dont understand what you are going for. If you are talking about which is better in a race, speed definately. The pros dont go for huge air, just enough to get them to land smoothly because you only build speed when your tires are on the ground and the engine is working for you, you lose speed while you are in the air.

If you are talking about which is puts on a better show...going huge is best.

Well the argument started on street bike racing vs. quad racing so I guess it would be like a circle track vs. mx... Maybe like TT vs MX?

im going to disagree with all of you...

Forever all i did was go to the dunes and build my bikes for dragging and dragging only. My roomate has an 88hp banshee that will just straight up pull like nothing you have ever ridded in every gear. There is unlimited power.

But taking my almost stock 450r over 45ft-90ft double kicks that drag bikes ***** in fun level. Air is so much more fun and takes a lot more skill. Anyone can get on a fast bike and go fast. Its a rush for a while. But getting big enough air to where even the dirt bike riders at the track are like "wow" Is so much better. All you guys saying speed is better are probably to big of pansys to hit the big jumps. Man up and just do it. Its worth it. :blah:

AirTime is the Bigger rush by Far,You can go faster(Speed) in a car or truck then a Quad but you cant jump your car or truck or at least i wouldnt suggest it LMAO :huh

exactly, anyone can go fast as long as they have a fast bike. But people that can go fast dont always have the B*lls to hit huge jumps...I say air is better:D

depends on the part of the track, but alot of times the smaller jumps where u get less air are better then the bigger ones.....single's that is....cuz then u can start accelerating more and youll be goin into the turn faster.:) but if its a douple or triple def air.

are you taling going fast in a straight line cause to me that no fun on a quad. i like goign fast through woods and such and i like jumping i beleive the woods and jumps are such a good adrenaline rush expescially when you know your coming up short on a jump no other feeling like it lol

definatly jumping the 60 ft jump . but hwat i was saying is with going fast are you like drag racing or are you going through woods thats all i was saying. cause to me going 40mph through woods and jumping 40ft doubles gives me alot more of a rush than say going 70mph in a straight line but some people are into that type of thing

I have an 82 KE100 with a wiseco piston, bored .20 over and has answer bars.

Even if I didn't have anything, I'm pretty sure which I'd rather be doing :rolleyes:

Does this really matter what scale of speed and height we are going/jumping? Ummm, I'm still pretty sure that I like to SEE people get air, and I like to go fast. Not sure if you want me to clarify that anymore for you? :confused: I'm sure that if I was unsure from the beginning, I wouldn't of posted. Tell me now how exactly do I get through to you? I say one thing and you completely use it against me for no reason. Drop it why dont you. Dont even reply. Suuure, lots of other things I could of said about you, but I'm not going to. as for the air vs. speed thing, id have to say big air is more of a rush to me, although im sure if i hit the gas on my quad and it felt like my arms were gonna come out of socket.. that would be a rush too, so im kinda balanced out on both...

I think air is better and cooler because catching massive air is sweet and feels good, but when ya go top speed people are like yeah whatever i can do that onmy hybrid, so i say jumping farther and higher is better :)
