View Full Version : Lectron Carb on a 400ex with IMS tank?

Will it fit? Anyone using this set up? Will some other carb work better like a FCR?

i don't see why it wouldn't but if you need a ims most likely your a xc'r and you don't want a lectron. not enough bottom end due to no accel pump. get a 39 fcr or a edelbrock

Didn't know that......:o The other carbs are alot more expensive, huh? My motor builder did suggest the FCR as a first choice, maybe that is why.:rolleyes:

the lectrons a great carb for wide open mx and tt but i know i wouldn't want mine in the woods

the lectrons will provide the overall most power for a bike but you will lack throttle response from no accel pump. also, the lectrons are really sensitive to dirt. so, if your in bad conditions, i wouldn't get the lectron. it is great for dragging or other conditions where not much dirt and mud will be getting to the carb.

it should. i dont think i'v heard of anybody having trouble with the ims tank and fcr carb but i could be wrong.

the stock tank dang nears rests on top of a fcr. i don't know how the two tanks compare though.
