Windows Media Player? What kind of soundcard do you have? Video card? stock set up from factory? brand? onboard or offboard?

Might be an itergraded mobo. Try reinstalling the gfx & sound cards. If that doesnt work and u need to buy new ones, make sure your mobo isnt intergraded, as you wont be able to remove the old ones.

He said it might be a onboard sound card on the motherboard (the brain of the computer). If your sound/video cards are onboard on the motherboard you weill have to buy a whole new motherboard (might as well build a new computer). I hate onboard sound cards. If I had a onboard sound card on my computer I would run a regular sound card and slave the onboard.
