What can i do to protect my air filter from getting wet etc... I have no air box lid. Is outerwear good enough?

Outerwear will help. You can use pantyhose to use as a lid cover, it will help somewhat. With your lid off, nothing is going to stop your filter from getting wet:o

an outerwears air box cover helps out. if you have a k&N filter than you could probably run the outerwears filter cover and air box cover, but i dont know they you need to

If you run a K&N with no airbox lid, make sure to pick up a foam outerwear. That way you get the great protection of foam. Always make sure to oil up your filter before you put it on also...that helps a lot.
