Definately go with the 400ex. Shouldn't even need to think about it.

yep 400ex all the way, the 350 is just a warrior engine and frame with a new look, shocks and name.(probaly to make people think its a new bike so they'll buy it.)

The Warrior's engine was made in 1987 I believe so it is outdated and also a engine can be outdated and bulletproof:huh

the warrior handles like my dads sears riding lawnmower...sluggish kindof....after you ride a 400ex for about 5 minutes & ride one of those you will never want to ride a warrior again...not dissing yamaha b/c the warriors are bulletprrof but so is the 400ex...the 400ex is a much better package right now & especially if you are looking for a used one,, you could save thousands $$$ ;)

I will have to say that the 400ex motor is just as bullet proof if not way more bullet proof than the 350 raptors motor.

Go with the 400ex. It really shouldnt even be a question. Its like choosing between a 400ex and a 450r.

choosing between a 400ex and a 450r is choosing between 2 machines with very different purposes, the 450r is a race, where as the raptor350 and the 400ex are both trail machines. i would prefer a 400ex to a 450r just because i dont race, i ride all trails and a 400ex is powerful enough and a lot cheaper.

the new raptor 350 isnt an exact copy of the warrior, besides the new plastic is its 20-30 lbs lighter(i forget the exact #) the motor has been updated along with the handling. But even tho i am a yamaha guy i'd say go with the 400 . has more power and better handling and with a few extra bucks you can make them scream. it would take a lil more to make the 350 run even close to the 400.

you'll have to mod the 350 alot because dont the 350 only have 2 valves.

The 400 defenetally, it is more bullet proof then the warrior, you cant really tear them up unless you smash a tree going 30+ or jump if off a cliff, but the whole bike is well built and very strong.

who needs reverse........your grandma does, i hope no one purchases an atv according to if it has reverse or not. If u buy a quad over a different one because it has reverse...maybe you shouldnt ride. ;)

Wow! I see a lot of speculation. I'm a Honda AND Yamaha man. And before I'd believe a bunch of guys who had never ridden one, I would try both, and see which one serves your needs. Reverse is a great feature if you trail ride much. And I, too, had heard the motor was re-worked. Just my lil' ol' opinion, but I go by hands-on experience only.:)
