I sold my 250ex for 2700 and bought it for 3250 and am selling a truck for 1500. i have to pay my dad back 500 then have the rest for mods. What should be my first mods all i got is razr tires on douglas .190 rims and a k&n. I am definetly geting a pipe, jet kit, nerfs, and a bumper. what kind of pipe should i get thats not real expense but has good power. would you recommend full or a slip on. my dad wants to put in a 440 kit about how much does that cost after boring the cylinder and everything. what else would you recommend for it and is there anything I should do to it. theres a big diiference in power then the 250ex. Also im 14

from what i hear 440s are poop for reliabilty.. heck my best friends 440 only lasted 2 months before the rings went, just to be on the safe side a 416 or 426 would be a much better idea, and i think before you jump all into the motor get some suspension mods and and ease of use mods, like some shocks, handlebars, clutch and brake levers, SS brake lines, axle and that should just about start you off:)

What kind riding do you do? Trails? MX? Drag Race? or what. If you ride trails get +1 burgard a-arms and some Elka shocks. If you still have enough money left get a elka long travel rear shock and linkage like Rico.

Id dump money into suspension before you go into the motor. Suspension will help you maximise the power that is there, once you can use all the power that is there stock, then mod the motor. Suspension will make you faster in the trails than motor work;)

New suspension, or a-arms swingarm, and bars is what I would get;)

1. nerf bars (mandatory)

2. handle bars (comfort and control)

3. block off kit for parkin brake (wear brake pads out if u don't)

4. suspension or steering stablizer

5. get a 406 or 416 b4 u EVER get a 440... u still have cylinder and bores left incase u ever screw up the motor... also it runs cooler and i think the power bands is beter on a 416 then a 440...
