If you want a quad that has plenty of 4 stroke power in trails(torque) and won't die or foul plugs all the time, than I'd get the 250ex. All you have to do with it is jump on, push the starter button(always starts, even cold) and punch the throttle. The 250ex is loads of fun despite its small size. If you want total fun and know worries than get the 250ex. My cousin owns one so I know.:D lol Have fun!

Depends, do you want a clutch machine that you have to always worry about repairing and making sure all of your fluids are ok and other stuff. Or you get a 250ex, check the oil once in a while and go riding and not worry about anything. for a awesome trail bike go for the 250ex, you cannot buy a better smaller machine then the lil 250. one of the lowest maintance machines and it can take a good beating and keep on going next to the blaster.

The 250ex will be a little easier to maintain and ride. The blaster is much faster though. You may want to consider the 300ex. You get the reliability of the 250ex and the speed of the blaster. It's more comfy too. It also has about as many mods available as the blaster. All 3 are good quads though.

i agree, i havent had any experience around a 250ex, but i just dont like it for some reason. i would suggest the 300ex. its a good over all quad that dosent take a lot of matainance.

if its between the blaster and 250ex i would take the blaster but if you throw a 300ex in there i would take that over a blaster just my thoughts

I'd say the Blaster....... A little more maintance, but its a small price to pay.

I've ridden a 250ex before and just got bored of it real quick.

250ex if you dont wanna mess with alot of maintenance. Those things run forever with just oil changes.

well if you'll be doing a lot of trail riding, a 250EX would be perfect for you, and there a blast to ride wheelies on.

Go with the 250ex they are nice quads, they are reliable, blasters are not. 4 stroke has nice torque. Blaster is a little faster but not by much.

well as you can see from my sig I have a 400ex that I am turing into a full time race bike and want a bike that I can use for just trail riding. I am leaning towards a 250ex or more a 300ex since i race a 400ex i dont want to venture to far from it for a trail riding bike, how much are used stock 400s going for?

A little faster :huh ? I dragged a 250ex and it was not even close. No chance for the 250.

BTW, used 400ex's are going from 2,500-4,000.

I'd go with the Blaster just because it has a clutch. There more fun to ride and i think it makes you better at riding:D

250ex all the way, I had one and love the thing to death, such an amazing bike, i raced a blaster with full fmf and he did beat me, but didnt kill me or anything, it was neck and neck till he hit 4th and then took off ahead. 250ex is a sweet trail bike, with reverse and enough power for anything, mod it a bit and it will wake up !

as you can see i have a recon. have a lot of fun on it. no maintainence whatsoever. honda dont even have zerks. change the oil once every spring and ride. the blaster is much faster and zippier but yul need a extra large tool kit and a handful of plugs.:( ed

I've owned my blaster for over 3 years and only replaced the plug 4 times..... If you have it jetted right, there is no need to keep replacing plugs.

yea ive dragged a few blasters some modde some not ive beaten a few stock 1s but that was prolly cause the rider but if u get a good rider on a modded semi modded blaster you arent that far behind at the end people act like the 250s get slaughtered by blasters
