for sure. When I first read the books in 6th grade (I am 19 now) I loved them. The movies are nothing compared to the books. The details are what Tolkien is good at. You miss a lot of good details if you only watch the movie. If you think that movie was long...just think if I would have directed it. Lets just say my buget would be multiplied atleast 20 times and it would be atleast a 15 hour movie. haha

although I have to say the movie is the best you can do with a somewhat short time frame I would say. Dont worry batgeek.. there are other geeks out there

ahhh!

geeks of the world unite! :macho

i notice you have TMNT as part of your name. have you read the original Eastman and Laird black and white comic distributed by Mirage Studios in the mid-80's?

i thoroughly dispise the crap that was put on TV...made me want to commit suicide via paper cuts to my wrists.

way back in the early 90's I did read a lot of the older tmnt comic books but lost most of my stuff to my moms deadly garage sale desensitization. hah. I actually like the first two movies and the cartoons. They play well with the story line of the old comic books as good as they can I guess. I still would rather read the comic books anyways. I used to have massive amounts of comic books and action figures. I still plan on rebuying all of my old tmnt stuff. As soon as I save some cash that is heh. You can buy most of the older books by eastman and laird on ninjaturtles.com along with a lot of the stuff later than that. My brother had tons of the old masters of the universe action figures. I still have my battlestar galactica sheets and a life size c3po

my sister got me that tmnt poster for my b-day.

I don't get much time to read, but I drive alot, so I tried to listen to the books on tape. They were terrible, I only got through the first book, and half the second.

actually I am kinda wierd. I dont like sheets or pillows or really blankets. the only reason I have a pillow is to put over my head at night so the fan doesnt make me sick. I usually have sheets on the bed but you do have to clean them sometimes right? haha

If they weren't in the book, then what was it? I never read the book and I'm curious what was used in it.

I don't know what book he read, but they were/are in the books I have. Although it doesn't go into as much detail as the movie does about their role in the battle.

I thought the movies were great, not as detailed in general as the books, but no one would have wanted to sit throught a 10 hour movie.

I know they were in the book, but they didnt fight in the battle, they just wiped out all of the Corsairs on the pirate ships, not kill all the Mumakil and such
