Serious Pop-up problems

hey.

i am having serious pop up problems, and what it is is that my home page in internet explorer keeps changing itslef to this one site wich then activates 2 popup windows wich u cant close out of, everytime u hit the x it pops up again. I have about 3 diff pop up blockers and none of em take them out.

but the main problem is that something keeps reseting the homepage.

I ran about 3 diff spyware removal programs and 2 diff virus removals and it still does it. anyone have any experience getting rid of this? it makes it impossible to work in ie...

I've had the same problem...i said screw it and downloaded netscape....Excellent internet searcher..blocks all pop ups....

i havent looked at porn,,, today, so its stuck i have tryed several things and trying ad aware now

oh yeah and did i mention the pop-ups are for spyware/pop-up killers? ****ing ridiculous.... this should be illegal and bothers me more than telemarketing

i looked at porn, it kinda lagged til the next day i was liek wtf, so then i saved everyting and re did my computer

Adware 6.0 or go into Temporary Internet Files and delete everything in there..

just restarded it and it still auto resets but i havent seen the pop ups come up so far...

no i mean start from scratch, it gets rid of anything not on the computer when it came fromt he factory, press f 10 when the comp is turnin on

browser hijackers are a pain in the ***. try downloading a program called hijack this! you can find it at download.com. hijackers are a pain in the butt if your not too good at comps

My computer is doing the exact same thing . Keep getting pop ups saying that I have SpyWare on my computer and no matter what program I use to get rid of it , it wont go away .... My homepage is always getting reset to another site also ... very frustrating .

I've NEVER had a pop-up since I've had the software.

***Note: If you like to have a lot of browser windows open at once, after opening a couple you will have to start holding down the "ctrl" key to allow each new window to open (so it knows you want it open and it's not a pop-up). Small trade-off for never having to deal with pop-ups again!

I started to get green lines under certiain words, like porn. jobs travel etc etc while reading posts.

Something called highlighter, can't get rid of it.

I downloaded the Google toolbar and it has a pop up blocker. It works well enough to block most pop ups for me, but I don't search porn to often.

I have been having the same problem. It keeps resetting my homepage but I dont get alot of pop-ups. It resets my homepage to a search page. I have tried spybot-seach and destroy and hijack this but those didnt work. Anyone know how to fix it ?

You guys need to tell us exactly what homepage your browser is being changed to. A lot of these new pages cannot be removed using "Hijack This" with their current definitions. Some of these sites use specific files to reset the browser homepage.

mine kept saying about blank were the url was...i so got it from porn, just get to know what porn galleries ogt clean link and youll be ok, but my computers has had herpes and all kinda stuff from that porno

internet explorer is famous for that stuff, get rid of it use netscape instead. i use stopzilla and never get popups no matter where i go.:macho ed

download Ad-Adware 6.0, run it a few times and it removes all the spyware. Then, download Zone Alarm Plus. Zone Alarm is like a firewall almost. You control which programs have internet access and which are denied. Both programs can be found on www.download.com.

tomcoyote.com u download hijack this, then dont touch anything and just post ur logs from the program in the forum, they they tell u what to remove and detailed instructions, all for free and they like to help you.

also get adaware and zone alarm.

then u can go to that coyote guys site and there is alot of info u can use to help you.

ive spent a hell of alot of time on this and im finalt spyware free.

also if u get something in adaware like CoolWebsearch or something it is a realy comon hijacker and hard to get rid of. i had it and i was using my comp to attack websites and hijack my browser....

What a pita.... also check out tomcoyote.com's support chat. alot of smart people in there...
