I noticed a while ago I need to repack my silncer, but I also had a flat spot on the top end. could these to be related? If the silencer wasnt fully packed could it affect top end performance?

I DON'T THINK YOUR PACKING HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT. I RE-PACKED MINE AND IT REALLY DIDN'T DO ANYTHING. PUT THE NEW PACKING IN AND IF IT DOESN'T DO ANYTHING THEN TRY RE-JETTING OR CHANGING THE SPARK PLUG.

dude the caps lock key...yeah turn it off.

As far as the packing goes, I do not believe that it will effect your jetting that much. When I had my wb, I am sure most of the packing was burnt out, and the jetting did not change. The best thing you can do is do a plug test now, and do another one after you have re-packed the pipe.
