2004 400ex problem

cant get it to stay running. The motor will turn over but it wont give any gas. Ive tried it with the choke on and it runs but not good. It makes like a weird sound. Kinda like its backfiring but not. Then when i turn off the choke it dies. It seems like its not getting any gas. Could my carb need rejeted? Ive only had this thing for a week. Its been running right untill sunday when i washed it.

Alot of people say when you wash it, you get water in the vent hose for the gas tank, you might want to take the gas tank off and drain it, put brand new gas in it and get a new spark plug to ensure the plug isnt jacked up (fouled). I always start with the obvious stuff first. Good luck.

Thats cool you probably got a little water in there I read alot where people have done that and that is the remedy. Good luck dude.
