I just installed my piston and cam. Ross 10.5:1 and a hotcam stage one. Im pretty sure i did everythign right, but there is a terrible clicking noise. Its not bad when the engine is at idle. But when i try to ride it, the noise is unbearable, its so loud. I adjusted the valves at tdc compstroke. Im pretty sure i did that right too. I took off hte valve covers and ran it and it seems to be coming from right in there. Any ideas. If the valves were misadjusted, would it make that sounds?

wow i feel dumb. Turns out i was adjusting the valves to the wrong stroke, idk how i did that. Its all good. It runs great. I think i have to jet it a little bit better. Other then that it rips. With this set up do u guys think i can finally take on my friends stock z400?? Before he would always pull away. Think i got him?

make sure your jetted right and make sure you throttle is opening up all the way and you should take him with equal riders.
