My freind has 465 and officials said you can not race with that kit, too much power. lol. I would redo the 416 if your going to keep racing.

I dont see why you couldnt race with that motor. Unless your classes are limited by displacement. But then you could always run in the open class.

do the 465 and run in the open class and if thats not what ya want to do then go to 426

if your going to spend all that money on the 465, just send your motor to tc racing and theyl do up a 450 engine for you, and you can still race it

Screw the 465. Have Sparks do one of his 505 kits. He doesn't advertise them on the site anymore but I'm sure they would throw one together for the right price. It took them 2 years before they could get one of their 690 Raptors to beat it up Olds at Glamis!

Are you worried about cheating??
Hell, join the crowd.
Everyone else is doing it!

I would got with a 440 stroker or justa 440 bore before a 465

If you want it to stay under 450 just get a stock cylinder and keep the bore under 88mm.

89.5 is a 440 with stock stroke.

You have no over bore with that sleeve however.

I would rather get the 87mm (416) bore and a 4mm stroker crank to get a 440 stroker kit. poweroll sells them, and LRD or Sparks will build you one.

4mm stroke + 426 piston =450 =legal = rips

i was looking at the 4mm stroker from poweroll for my stock motor. i going to just rebild it and bore it if it needs it. with a rebild cam and stroker how much would i be looking at spending on that. how much power will i be looking at and will it be relible and could i still play around on it every day?
