AIR CLEANER mantance

I have allways cleaned my air filters with dish shope and water and oiled it with 10w-30.

In the manuial it tells me to clean it will solvent and oil with honda filter oil.

I have solvent but my shop dont have honda filter oil what should i do????

Get some Notoil airfilter oil and cleaner. It works great!

I got my Notoil @ Rocky Mountain ATV. I got the cleaner and oil as a kit and it was around $11 or $12. I haven't used the cleaner yet as it says it only works on the Notoil oil but the oil seems very sticky and should grab all those small dirt and sand particles. My Honda dealership actually recommened both the Notoil oil and the UNI Filter to me. I also bought a UNI filter from Rocky Mountain ATV.

be careful with the amount of bel-ray filteroil you use.couple of friends that race w/us ride crf450 bikes.both began having starting trouble.honda tore 1 of the bikes down supposedly & couldn't find the prob.we began to tear bike #2 apart & soon as i got the valvlecover off,i found the prob.;the valves were gummed up w/ sticky oil.cleaned the head in bar-so. vat, reinstalled,runs fine.these bikes are kept in top shape&ichecked the filters;they were not saturated w/oil,just a coat.they changed to different air-oil;no probs since. :confused:

and i'm not saying bel-ray makes bad products,just passing some info. thanks alot..i havent sued any of this stuf fon my 450r yet but I applied a heavy amount (on accident kind of) to my 400ex air filter but it ran fine..ill go light with it this time on my trx450r

When I had the stock filter, I used Uni-Filter cleaner and oil, worked great! I use the same thing on my Curtis Sparks filter setup, and no probs yet!
