Duncan 440ex Kit

I was wondering if the Duncan 440 kit was any good? Anyone have one and want to tell me about it? whats the top speed like? does it pull well through mid-range and bottom? I think it's like $1900, i am whilling to pay this if it is worth it.

its worth it, check i think the atv action april issue, it has it in ther, its sweet, fast, and powerful.

I called Duncan when searching to get my motor built and if you have them do it RIGHT your looking at about $2500. Thats what they quoted me. You can have Tom Carlson build you a 505 for the same price!

But do other companies do it as well as duncan? Curtis Sparks's 440 kit is around $2500 to i think.

Here is TC's website www.tcracingengines.com. It is under construction so you cant click on anything. You can get the Sparks 465 for around $2800 but when I was calling he was backed up at least until November. I couldnt wait that long. Also TC said he has lined his 490 against a Sparks 465 and ate it for lunch. And you know how the Sparks 465 dominated at Four Stroke Wars. I cant wait to see what my 505 will do:D

They are all great. I called almost EVERY engine builder when shopping for one and not only do I like what these said the best but they have proven themselves more than any others if you ask me. Others may disagree and have their favorite but with my research this is my opinion!! FST told me he would be about a 2-3 month wait. Sparks said about 9 months. TC is about 6 weeks out plus he builds a 505 for the same price the other do a 465 or 440!!

The Guy that Built my Brother`s 250r Motor is Building a Duncan 440 for a Guy right now. He is Waiting to get the Parts back from Duncan. I think he said the Wait is Three Weeks. That is very good. Duncan, TC, or Sparks is who I would go with.
