Ok iam looking at buying a new quad soon and iam in a real delima of what quad i should get. I have heard from lots of different people who say the 400ex is better for freestyle then other people say the 250R is better for freestyle. Which ever bike i choose iam going to be doing alot of mods to it, Iam juts confused on whether to get a 400ex or a 250R?

they are both really good freestyle quads, but i think that a 250r is a high matience machine. unless you find a really good one. im not sure about this but i think the pegs are a little higher up, closer to the seat on a 250r, so tricks would be a little easier but im not sure about that. its up to you man good luck

They are both good I wood go with the 400ex just. My brother has one and he bored it out 4 to a 404ex. my brother is about 200lb and my dad raced on a rapter and he is 180lb. When they race the rapter won by one bike. :blah: :blah: :blah: :D

GO WITH 400EX ;) ;) ;) ;) :D

its all personaly choice. both are great freestylers. the 250r is more mantaince but if your like me you'll only find that fun. and the 400 has a smoother power delivery.

id go with the 400ex cuz 4strokes usually have more low end grunt. also cuz itd be alot less maintenence which usually equals less money.:)

It all depends on what you like. If you ride afour stroke now and you not a real patient person id go with the 400ex, just because there so reliable and predictable. As for me , i'd go with the R just because I think there the nastiest bikes you can ride!

i like Rs for jumping... they are lighter, easier to throw around, and i prefer a powerband...

its mostly your opinion though.. theres always maintainance on all quads, by the r's due tend to have more..

Its all what ur used to.If u used to ride a four stroke GET a 400ex. If you used to ride a 2stroke then get an R!Sure its more maintenance but its worth it.The switch from 4 to 2 stroke is weird.I went from a 250ex to my R, it took some getting used to.:bandit:

you kinda have to think about what you'll ride besides freestyle. if freestyle is all, and maybe some tracks, I'd get a 250r. I f our ride tight trails, get the 400. and if you don't like maintiainin them get the 400! I want a 250r personally, 4 strokes don't do much for me!

ya -- i'd go with the 400ex jus cuz it has a smoother powerband and less maintence. but it's up to u man. g/l. hope you're happy with what you get.

GO WITH THE 400EX:blah: :blah: :blah: :D :D :D ;)

even though its been said 25 times ill say it too. its all personal opinion. ride both (if you know people with em) and decide which one you like more. yes you'll have to rebuild and maintain the R alot more often than the 400ex but some people prefer the 2 stroke over the thumper. good luck with your choice. you wont be dissapointed in either quad.
