hey... my friend is gonna be working all summer and fall, up until december, and then he plans on buying a quad... we figure he should have about 4k to 45oo to spend by that time... what do you think he should get? hes got a nice big field behind his house, and we plan on making a small track there. i was (obvioulsy.......) thinking 400ex, but i dunno, maybe a banshee, or predator, or whatever. what do ya think?? just looking for opinions!

16, next to none, but he has ridden my 400, and did alright, so he would learn quick

Sell him your 400EX and then you can go out and buy a 450R:D

heh, that would be sweet for sure, but i am trying to scrape up all the pennies i can find right now for a vehicle... oh well. anyway, do you guys think there is any one sport quad (preferably 400cc +, other than a banshee) that is easier to learn on than another? i figure i'll teach him more about ridin a manual clutch over the summer, and letting him ride mine around a bit, as long as he doesn't toast the clutch!

I would get a 400EX or a KFX/Z400. Both are very easy to ride and he should be able to pick a used one up in that price range easily.
