Have you tried bending the wire hoop the cable goes through? The one attached to the motor mount.

I bent the wire hoop and then took a wire tie held it down more with that. It seems to work ok..

i bent the wire hoop but all that did was make it hit at a different spot. what did u put the zip tie on? i didnt see a place to put a zip tie that would take the cable off of the pipe.

Try wrapping a ball of electrical tape around the cable where you want it to sit at the wire hoop to stop it from moving down.

i just bent the loop with my x-6 and it worked fine. i had to bend it pretty hard but it worked. you shouldn't have to run a zip tie but it should work if need be.

i got it off of the pipe now and cranked it up, pulled the clutch put it in first, let it out, and it went no where in 1st gear with the clutch all the way let out. so i gave it some gas and it slowly moved forward, then i pinned it and it jumped forward but without gas it doesnt move. it looks like the pipe is touching the metal part of the clutch that moves back and forth on the engine when u pull the clutch in. whats the problem.

mine did the same thing, it actually made it to the metal before I realized it. I ordered another cable for $12 and tie tied it to the frame and the acceleration cable. I have a BIG GUNS, I have never seen the x-6 but Im pretty sure they both have the same characteristics coming off of the head split and coming back together.

I don't remember what brand the cable was, but my dealer turned me on to it. The cable is longer than stock, and allows you to route it away from the head pipes.

Get a longer clutch cable and some zip ties, then reroute it away from the headpipes. The zipties work well for keeping it away from the headpipe, I had to do this for a friend with his X-6.

:o route it under the headers, up the left side of the quad and have it clip through the piece of plastic thats under the gas tank, no zip ties necessary just bend that little bracket

hey muff what is the hose coming out of your engine at the top above the cooling fins. or is that not a 400 ex engine?
