Air Box

I have a 03 300ex with a bunch of mods full pipe,jetted,k&n,outerware,and a few more. Heres my question Im running with no air box lid. Lately where ive been riding theres alot of mud and water. I want to put my lid back on and buy a few packs of those plugs that you put into your lid. Has anyone had any luck with these and would I lose any noticeable power?

well, they increase the airflow to your filter, but they wont do anywhere near as good at flowing as you would with running no lid. I run with no lid on mine all the time, but i only race mx, so its not that bad, i'd say for what you ride..probably trails and stuff i assume.. that you could get those filter inserts and be aight, i dont think you'd lose any noticable power
