View Full Version : Foot slipping off peg, Do I buy nerfs, pegs, or file sharper points on factory pegs?

I just had a crash on my 400ex. I was on the track (@New Vienna, Ohio) and was landing a double, when my foot sliped off the peg. What is the best and most practical idea to prevent this from happening again. What are the most well liked products to prevent this?

ac propegs ;) Or IMS/ROLL wide pegs w/ kick up, or weld on a kickup on your stock ones

Nerf bars & take a grinder & re-grind your stock pegs ;)

Get a used pair of stock foot pegs, then weld them to the back of your existing ones, then get some standard nerf bars. Dont get ac pro pegs, the pegs wear out to quick.

Derisis makes some add-on kick ups. They have teeth cut in them, most other ones don't. I have used them for over a year, and they work great. $36 to my door. Look on his web site. I will put a picture on here of mine.

Man, those derisi peg extenders look bad ***!!! I have been troubled with this situation because I run the Pro Armor nerfs and they dont have pro pegs AND i cant run IMS pegs with them due to the different mounting. Most footpeg extensions just bolt on the end and dont have teeth. Those things make them wider AND longer just like a Pro Peg!! I will be ordering those asap for my bike!!!!!

I used to think the Roll pegs were worth the money until I tweaked the edge of one at the Big Buck GNCC race, of course a normal foot peg may have snapped in half from the impact, who knows...

the IMS/roll pegs look really good and ive heard nothing but good things about them, but the $200 seems like a major setback. when stock pegs only cost $20 a piece seems like you'd be ahead to buy a couple sets of stock ones instead

Get Ac Propegs they are amazing. I SWEAR the newer ones donot wear down at all. I have had mine for 1 year and you can see just a little wear but at this pace it will be 5 years until they wear down. :eek2: Do yourself a favor and get a set.

Sharpening the stock pegs makes a big difference. Try that if you don't want to buy new stuff right now.
