made it to the finals fri. night, couldnt run any faster than a 5.07 though, the track was junk. the cars run a 4.89 now, still got a lot left in it. we painted the stripe on it white so it looks a lil different, fixin to put ghost flames on it we think.

but for those of you that have never seen it before its a 65 vette, we run oulaw 10.5 and NMCA super street with it, its got a 377 cube sbc, 101mm precision turbo, makes 1900-2100 hp at the 1/8th mile. it should run a 7.40 or .30 in hte 1/4, on a 10.5 inch tire. the car weighs 3000. umm any more ?'s ill be glad to answer...

Man, i would love to see that run in person. Im just tryin to get my truck in the 13's and you are in the 7's lol. As soon as I pay my truck off, im gonna start lookin for an old mopar with the 440 six pack. Never gonna run with that vette though. Got any videos?

Thanx guys for all the compliments, yes its a stingray, and if we put flames on it they will just be inside the white stripe, theyd be like pearl or somthin so you can barely see them.

thanx la400ex, hey thirteens in a street truck is flyin man, back 6 or 7 years ago we could barly run a 10 in the 1/4 mile. it takes time to run a number. weve almost sold our vette 2 or 3 times cuz weve been so frusterated with it. if it wasnt one thing it was another. finally the cars starting to run right. the cars that we run against run 7.60's to 7.10's so weve still got a ways to go. if yall our interested in our kinda racing check out...

but seriously man keep it up and youll have that truck flyin, if you get a mopar 440 then come run nmca with us. they got all kinds of classes for all street cars. believe it or not our vette is a street car, street legal too (except for the slicks). turn signals, brake lights, tail lights, headlights still roll over, horn, runs on pretty much a street tire (only 10.5 inches of rubber). I like the car though cuz its a sleeper, that turbo makes the car UNBELIEVIBLY quiet, when its doin the burn out you can hear the tires trying grab the track. if you pull up next to a Big inch (700+) ci nitrous motor & bust there *** with a 377 ci small block theres no better feeling than that, 2100hp from a small block, thats some crazy $hit.

How much is the upkeep on one of those? Man that is one sick stingray. Did you build the car yourself? Thats what I wanna do build cars.

That blows my mind. 2100hp from a small block. Thats just crazy. I didnt realize you were from texas. Maybe i will have to make a roadtrip and come see yall race one day. Do yall ever race at any louisiana tracks? I will have my truck in the 13's as soon as I can afford a blower. I have read about a company testing a turbo "kit" for the 4.7 but i dont know if or when they will release it. I would love for that to happen because im sure it will be cheaper than 3-4 grand for a blower. Later, Anthony

thanks for the comments! lol

thats the good thing about turbo cars, all we really do is unload the car, dust it off, and jack up the rear end to keep the slicks from going flat. Going with a turbo costs quite a bit more, but it pays off eventually. nitrous cars blow head gaskets, throw rods, and all kinds of crap like that.

as far as building the car, my dad bought the car in 96'. the car was built into a drag car in 85'. we had to add ALOT to the rollcage, put the new paint on the car, built the hood for it, we had to add weight to the car, do ALOT to the chassis, put a nitrous motor in it, then we realized the cost and put the turbo motor in it, now the car flies, the fastest it went before was 5.30's in the 1/8 compared to a 4.89 at 155 now. weve invested quite a bit in the car, but its worth it. it really is a blast, if you drive the car, the power is unbelivable. not to long ago the car hit the wall pretty hard cuz the throttle hung wide open. well right before it hit the wall my dad slammed on the brakes & it was still building speed going into the guard rail. the front 2 tires had bald spots in them. we have four calipers on the discs up front too. the cars crazy.
